In June 1993 Andrew Wyeth, the creator of the famed "Christina's World" and probably the best-known American realist painter, drew a portrait of former Metropolitan Museum of Art director Thomas Hoving. Hoving videotaped the latter part of the sitting, making the only known film or video record of Wyeth (who died January 16, 2009) at work.
